I can definitely Relate to this song. I was emotionally abused growing up and dealt with a covert narcissistic mother. I found myself trying to escape from the chaos I dealt with at home and felt I couldn’t connect with the real world because nobody would believe me. But something I realized as I grew up is that there’s not any shame in It. There’s no nothing I could do about it. That’s helped me as far as sharing my story.

I still don’t understand full meaning of this song and why there are creepy things in it like a stroller lit on fire and creepy figures dancing with creepy smiles. Where does all this horrifying stuff come from?? What’s in his head?? This isn’t the video to watch at night, for sure.

I can definitely relate to the meaning of this song. Although I thankfully haven’t been abused in childhood, while listening to this song I thought it was about just that. How child’s innocence can be stripped from them so easily, and that’s why children often to imaginary worlds to escape reality. So in other words, I thought the song was basically from the point of view of a child who is being abused by their family. And since it’s a child, the child in visions their family as monsters who “…live inside my own world of make believe.” After looking at the meaning though, it can really mean anything from the perspective of the viewer. A really great song may I put as well.
