“TELEKINESIS” lyrics begin with Future talking about his polygamous romantic experiences and the problems that began with it. Then, he touches on his childhood, his life in the streets, and how all of these experiences have made him who he is today. Also, Future gives a shoutout to a luxury fashion brand, Coco Chanel. Despite his difficult upbringing, he is successful financially today because of his career as an artist. He is ambitious and wants his empire to be worth more than one Billion dollars. This is where we can see the concept of “TELEKINESIS” in action in the first verse.

In the chorus, Travis Scott and Future further play on the concept of “TELEKINESIS.” The rappers are able to see their successful future (I can see the future, it’s lookin’ like we level through the sky). Their common goal is to live in perpetual glory (I can’t wait to live in glory in eternal). Both Travis Scott and Future are trying to change the course of their reality with the help of “TELEKINESIS,” i.e. psychic ability allowing a person to influence without physical interaction but only with their thoughts.

Then, in the bridge of the song, both Travis Scott and Future compare themselves to superheroes, following their new psychic ability of “TELEKINESIS.” We find that the artists are very careful of putting themselves in dangerous situations as they carefully dodge negativity and bad vibes. In the refrain of the song, Future talks about his financial success and the problems that come with being famous. Despite the problems, he enjoys his wealth and reveals that we can enjoy ourselves despite our problems.

The second verse of “TELEKINESIS” lyrics by Future touches on his romantic experiences, extravagant lifestyle, and his celebrity status. He is famous for his toxic stance in relationships and for not settling down for emotional reasons alone. But Future reveals that he is trying to reduce his negativity and his problem of putting himself in bad situations. It’s not that he is always against the possibility of a relationship. But it is simply establishing strong boundaries since he has too much to lose from relationships that are not in his favor.

Then, SZA makes an entry in the final and the third verse of “TELEKINESIS” which talks about not being able to get over her ex despite his flaws. She also gives a shoutout to YNW Melly‘s “Murder On My Mind” in her verse. The singer talks about her experience with being cheated on and yet not being able to move on from him. SZA acknowledges that he is not good for her but she cannot seem to get over him despite knowing that it won’t work well in the long run. She sees a future with him despite problems.
